Baseball

 

Charles played another season of Little League and had a great season. He is improving so much and enjoying it more and more! Here are a few HORRIBLE camera phone shots. Maybe next season I'll have to bring my big camera to get some better photos.

Charles' coaches this season were great!!! The head coach gave out the game ball each game to the kid that did something Awesome!!! Charles wanted to get a game ball so bad. Well he finally got one on October 26th. 

He was given the game ball because he got a hit. He struggled at the beginning of the season to hit the ball. He was afraid it would hit him instead.

Bowling

Daddy had Veterans day off so we decided to take advantage of the extra Family Fun day. We headed to the bowling alley with the Burkes, Gibsons, Grandma Garthe, and the Lakey's. We had a lot of fun! 

 

Madison was SO EXCITED she got a STRIKE!!!!

Halloween Fun

 Halloween was a little less eventful this year. We did not attend Grandma Garthe's work Halloween party because she was on leave due to foot surgery. I actually heard that they cancelled it all together since we usually make up more then half of the kids that attend the party. And my parents ward Trunk-o-Treat was on the same night as ours so we ended up only doing one Trunk-o-Treat and Trick-o-Treating on Halloween night. It was great!!

My parents, my sister Julya, our friend Randi, and my brother's family joined us at the Trunk-o-treat.

On Halloween night we had; the Burke's, plus grandma Garthe, the Gibson's, the Lakey's, and the Westover's over for dinner and then Trick-o-Treating. It was fun to be with so many people. The kids had a great time!!

My parents came at the end of the night to see the kids. We had fun passing out candy and getting rid of some of the candy the kids had just collected!!! Hahaha!!!

I wish I had taken better photos of the kids costumes. Claudia was a Pirate (She called herself Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) Katelyn was her Parrot. 

Madison was Little Mermaid. I found this cute skirt tuturial and ended up making her costume. And Charles was the Red Power Ranger. 

One day I'll do a family theme! But for now I'm glad they all looked cute!!

Jog-A-thon

Charles and Madison participated in our school Jog-A-thon in October and had a great time. I think Madison even ran more laps than Charles did!!!

Pumpkin Patch

 We went to our favorite pumpkin patch again this year and had a great time!!!! Corona Pumpkin Farm is the place to go! They have a corn maze and activities for the kids. And you can cut your pumpkin right off the vine. We love love love it!!!!

This year we went with the Burke's and had a blast!

 

Madison had fun decorating a trick-o-treat bag while the other kids played on the inflatable slide.  

 Claudia was excited to see the baby chicks and the huge Turkey's that will become some lucky families Thanksgiving dinner!

I can't believe I got them all looking at the camera at the same time!!!!

Roadshow

This year the primary kids were asked to be a part of the roadshow at church. Charles and Madison readily volunteeed. They had fun and got a little glimpse of the fun will they have when they are youth. 

Charles was an Army Ant and Madison was a lady bug. Not sure what I didn't think to take photos of them. Luckily my friend Laurel snapped this one of Charles.

Cub Scout Award

Charles started Cub Scouts back in July. On October 1st he received his Bobcat award. 

Along with the award he received a pin to give to Mommy. I'm still trying to understand all this cub scout stuff.  I'm just glad Daddy is good with it to make things easier on me.
