Poor Pirate

Yesterday my mother-in-law's office had their annual Halloween Party for the kids. It is becoming a tradition that we go. This time John got to go since he doesn't have school anymore. Boy was I glad he was there. Charles was running down the hall back to where we were and tripped and slammed his head into the corner of a door jam. Yeah not so fun! We all heard the loud noise. John quickly scooped him up and took him to the bathroom to assess the damage and clean him up. I on the other hand am a huge BABY and can NOT handle stuff like this well. I started to feel queasy immediately. So now you can see why I was happy to have John with me. John got him cleaned up and bandaged and then I met him down at the car with Miss Mad. I could not be inside anymore I need to get some fresh air to help me feel better. We took him right to urgent care and luckily their was no wait and since he was a head injury they took them right it. They only allowed one parent in, which was good because I was trying to prepare myself to be in their with him, but still wasn't sure if I could. I know I am a big BABY. I wish I could overcome this. Thirty five minutes later they came out with his nice big wound all glued up. John said Charles did VERY WELL! During the whole ordeal the thing that freaked him out most was seeing the blood run down his face. Poor Guy! He was very SAD that we had to leave the party early and didn't get more time to play with his friends (that's what he calls his cousins, very cute!) When we got home we gave him some Tylenol for the discomfort and then he took this adorable picture for me! What a great sport our little man is. Now he looks a little more like a real Pirate!

When I showed him the picture he said, "I have an X on my head."

More photos of the party and all our Halloween Festivities to come later!

Pumpkin Patch

Last week my friend Janica and I took our kids to the Pumpkin Patch at Irvine Park. I must say, this year was much better then last year. They expanded it and it is much better!! Charles was looking forward to the hay maze and had lots of fun, we even walked through and kids haunted house. Madison and Emily LOVED to just wander around. Emily was so cute leading the way and worry about nothing. We don't buy our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch since they are so DARN expensive, but the kids have a good time wandering around touching all the pumpkins and just being outside. I don't even think they care if we buy one from their or not. Especially since we already had ours at home. They even stopped every now and then for a picture. Charles wanted to ride the tractors so I gave in and let him ride. He did a great job. He didn't crash into the hay too often. (I think it helped that he was the only one on the track!) We also rode the train around the park. The kids LOVED it! We had a great time with Janica and Emily and are so sad that we live so far apart now and will be even further away when we move into our new house. We'll just have to convince them to move out to Riverside. (haha!)

Our House!

John and I got to go see our house today and we LOVE it!!! It is so awesome!
We are very excited that we have found such a great house in our price range. For those of you that asked it is in Riverside near downtown off the 60 FWY. We are in escrow and things seem to be moving along well. We should know soon what our move in date is. I'm sure it will be mid November if not sooner. The perfect anniversary gift for us since our anniversary is Nov. 22nd. Well below is what you all have been waiting for.... pictures! And I made a totally crappy floor plan also I like to see floor plans more than pictures, but you'll get the idea.
(Note: The pictures aren't that great. We were in a hurry the current owner was coming home. But you can click on them to enlarge them.)

WE'VE BEEN ACCEPTED!!!!!

I am so SUPER excited and can NOT believe the day has finally come!!!! OK, so we actually got accepted on Tuesday, but I wasn't ready to shout it off the roof tops because last time we got accepted it didn't work out. But this time is BETTER. We have almost officially been accepted!!!! The listing agent is meeting with the seller on Sunday to sign all the official documents. We should open Escrow on MONDAY!!! We are so unbelievable excited. We haven't seen the house but should get in to see mid week. (I will post pictures then.)
But from what we know about the house we LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It's 2700 Sq feet, how can you NOT love a house that size. And it's in a gated community with Awesome amenities. I will keep you posted but for now, we are going to be homeowners soon and can't wait!!!
What's even better is that we will close escrow by Nov. 30th to get the stimulus credit for first time home buyers! Hoorah!!!!

Enduring to the End

Does anyone have any patience I can borrow????
We got some good news but not the best news, we are still in the game for both of the houses. We are the top offers for each and are still waiting for the banks/people in charge to make a decision. It's so hard. Yesterday as I was thinking about the houses and waiting, I had a feeling that it will ALL be worth it. Just as the quote that goes something like this, I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it.
I guess this challenge that we are going through is similar to enduring to the end. Which in this life may be the hardest thing that we as mortals will have to do. If how I am dealing with this trial now is anything like enduring to the end, then I better get moving and learn how better to deal with this patience thing. Otherwise really enduring to the end will be very challenging.
Keep the prayers coming please!
