San Diego

The weekend after Thanksgiving my cousin Tyler went to the temple for the first time to receive his endowment and prepared to serve a mission. Several weeks ago he was called to serve a mission in Argentina. He reports to the MTC in a few weeks. I am so excited that Tyler has chosen to serve a mission. He will be a Great missionary. He is very friendly and loves people.
We took the opportunity to be in the Temple with Tyler on this very special day. It was beautiful! We dropped the kids off at Justin and Kristyn's on the way to the San Diego Temple. The weather was wet and rainy but we all arrived safely. We got there really early, which was nice. We were able to take our time and enjoy being inside the house of the Lord. We were asked to be the witness couple. Which is one of my favorite things to do. It was a full session and the spirit was strong. After the session as we were in the celestial room we were asked by a man if we could help him do a few sealings. We jumped at the opportunity. Apparently he and his wife come up from Tijuana every Saturday and do family names from start to finish. We were able to help them seal their family members to eachother. It was a great way to end a temple day.
After the temple we went to a beach house my aunt had rented for the week and had a late lunch. It was very nice being with family and enjoying the day. After lunch we headed to our hotel to check-in and get settled. We took the kids a the hot tub for a few minutes and then put them to bed.
The next day we got up early and drove to Vista which is where my cousin and family live. We went to their ward for church to hear Tyler speak. He did a great job and has learned so much. I know he will be a great mission and have an amazing experience. It is amazing how much the gospel of Jesus Christ can change lives and make people Happy!
