Apple Picking-- October 27th

A few years ago we tried to make Apple Picking at Oak Glen a family tradition. The first year was great! The second year we missed the crops. We went too late in the season. So this year we wanted to make sure we got to pick some apples. So we went the end of October. It was really fun! Except for the horrible spiky things that were ALL over the ground around the trees. Luckily we made sure the kids wore boots or sneakers. We each had to scrap off all these horrible thorns from our shoes and bottom of our pants before we got in the car. It was not fun! But the apple picking and picnic lunch afterwards was!!!!! John's mom came along with us and brought his sister Jennie's kids. 

The apples this year were DELICIOUS!!!!
